TextMarks and Easy Mobile Marketing
This site/web 2.0 thingy/widget/tool is just friggin' cool. TextMarks lets you create what they call a TextMark (a non case sensitive word like "socialcaster" or "zombiemarketer"), have data associated with it (125 character txt msg, url, or text from a webpage) so when users SMS that word to 41411 they automagically get a reply. They even have 3 different kinds of widgets from sites and blogs.
BOTTOM LINE: Resaturants, dive bars, and clubs can use this so locals can use your TextMark to quickly find out the specials or which bartenders are working. You can use TextMarks to deliver tips of the day via SMS. Use the widgets to post info via SMS to your blog. Just Plain Cool.
